I have had some EGR issues for a while now (P0420 code). I decide to GIS metro EGR and 4 tubes were hooked up wrong. Fill up on gas to see what MPG I get on next tank. Also tags were up in Dec. so as long as everything else checks out, renew all the plates!!!

Can't you just remove the EGR? They're basically useless anyway.

I have a 98 with obdII. I can't have a CEL on for inspection.

Your timing belt pulley is larger than your valve cover.
edit: It's a 3 cylinder Metro.
